Pustno rajanje v Čatežu / Post-concert Mardi Gras festivities in Čatež

****
Last week was again marked by concerts (Krško and Čatež) and of course Carnival. It is needles to say that atmosphere and the audience was phenomenal. That is why we will devote our time to report about PJ Carnival. Every section had a task to present a collective mask after the concert in Krško. And what became of this you can see here …

Basi so si dali kapuce čez glave in glumili neke gangsterje. A je to sploh maska?

****
Bass section put hoods over their heads and pretended to be gangsters? Is that any kind of costume?

Naša Irena in Alex, sicer drugi altki, sta uprizprili metuljček in zajček plešeta labodje jezero.

****
Our 2nd altos Irena and Aleksandra (butterfly and bunny) performed a Swan lake.

Prve altke so se oblekle v športne transvestite.

****
1st altos became sport transvestites.

Druge sopranke so bile bledih obrazov.

****

2nd sopranos had pale faces. Through out all evening we thought that maybe they felt sick, but in the end they told us that they were Avatars. But it was still best not to take photo of them :)

Prve sopranke so bile žabe. No, naše prve sopranke so ostale žabe vso noč.

****
First sopranos were frogs. When someone kisses a frog in a fairy tale it turns in to a prince or a princess. Well our 1st sopranos just remained frogs all night long.

****

2nd tenors dressed them selves as Ana Žvorc and they kept sending all people present for a stroll around a lake, because as they say "in this business it is not enough just to sing good, you also need to look good”! This earned them flattering title of the best collective mask of the evening. The commission was united on that on. :)

No, in potem tu imamo še prve tenorje, ki so se oblekli v rumene "gast arbeiterje" ter si banane in olupke zatlačli povsod, kamor sonce še ni posijalo. Zakaj? Verjemite, nočete vedeti! :)

****
And of course we also have 1st tenors, who became “yellow gast arbeiters” and they stuck bananas and peels everywhere where the sun has not yet shined. Why? Why? Believe us, you do not want to know! :)

Hahahaha ....

****
And after the party we went for a round of snowballing, and by mistake we buried Matjošk’s car under the snow. Uuuups, now what? Ah, nothing… We will just make one or two group photos. Hahahaha…

A mate kaj za pusta hrusta?

****

This phrase can't be translated well because the custom is specific to our culture. Well, Google translate would translate it like this: "Do you have something to dull the Samsung?" Bwahahahaha...

However, if we try to translate it in reference to customs in other culturees around this time of year we can say: "Mardi Gras – Let the good times roll."

kuka pravi ...
